I reported the problem, but I haven't found a consistent way to
trigger it. I don't know if it's the computer I'm using or the
computer I'm logging into. I use a firewire portable drive to run from
a number of different computers. We'll start experiments again next
month so I'll be using a variety of macs again. I've prepared a virgin
10.5.8 partition on the drive so when it happens again, I'll have a
known system to test.
