There is a bit of a "split brain" situation going on as the path tool places
/usr/X11 first. I renamed /etc/paths.d/XQuartz to aQuartz to place it
alphabetically ahead of X11 and that (for now) fixed the path problem. It may
actually just be sorted by ctime of the files, but it's working for now.
I do still wonder why the xauth warning I mentioned earlier has shown up. I've
not seen it in any previous version of X11 on the Mac.
