Hello,
I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard, and for some reason it reinstalled the X11 version that apple has available. I then installed the new xquartz (2.5.0) version. Now I have the old X11 and the xquartz version. Obviously I've lost all my settings and want to customize it again.
Here are my questions:
1. Was Xquartz suppose to overwrite X11?
2. Do I need both versions? Can I uninstall the old X11 version?
3. To use the xquartz version do I simply rename it to X11 if I wanted to?
4. Is there a tutorial for to set settings in Xquartz perminantly (or at least for everytime I use it)? Such as prompt, size of window, font, background color, color of types of files, sound. Where can I get basics to understand Xresources?
Thank you for all your help,
Laura
