I have really tried to search the arhieves, but it times out all the time from here.
Hello, there are a couple of things concerning configuring the overall of the system.
I guess that the terminal window which opens with XQuartz are similiar to the window
opend in X11, or is there something hidden in some startx file or whatever, where I can
remove it. I really want to replace it with the xclock.
Here is a couple of hopefully easy questions, pertaining to XQuartz:
I have noticed that there is appdefaults for x-apps in the folder app-defaults:
Bitmap
Bitmap-color
Bitmap-nocase
Chooser
Clock-color
Editres
Editres-color
KOI8RXTerm
KOI8RXTerm-color
UXTerm
UXTerm-color
Viewres
Viewres-color
XCalc
XCalc-color
XClipboard
XClock
XClock-color
XConsole
Xditview
Xditview-chrtr
Xedit
Xedit-color
Xfd
XFontSel
Xgc
Xgc-color
XLoad
XLogo
XLogo-color
Xmag
Xman
Xmessage
Xmessage-color
Xmh
XMore
XSm
XTerm
XTerm-color
Is there an easy way to have XQartz read this directory when starting up xapps, or do I specify that those files should be used.
I have a similiar issue with my ~/.Xdefaults file. But I think I have understood that the settings in this file are only read when I start an xapp with the startx command.
Is there a way to use those settings as well, when processes within the .xinitrc.d/98-user.sh
are executed or when the command, for instance xclock are started from an xterm -process.
Just wondering. Thanks in advance.
Best regards
