Just upgraded to Mountain Lion, and Apple took away my X11, sent me off to Xquartz for a replacement. But after downloading the .pkg, and running it to install (into /Applications/Utilities/Xquartz.app, I think), things still don't work quite right: I run X11 on demand, not at login or as my login window manager, but it doesn't auto-start any more, I have to manually launch it first.
Can I restore the autostart feature?
I do have a /Library/LaunchAgents/org.macosforge.xquartz.startx.plist (dated June 1), but I see it referring to /opt/X11/bin/Xquartz, not the one I believe was recently installed into /Applications/Utilities. Does that "opt" mean I once installed via MacPorts? Should I try that again?
