I did just upgrade from 2.7.2 to 2.7.3 rc2 on 10.8, because
setting dpi did not work. According to [1] and [2] it should be
fixed in 2.7.3 rc2, but seems not to work, e.g. for X-Chat.

I did the following steps:
fabian@colossus:~ $ xdpyinfo | grep -i resolution
resolution: 96x96 dots per inch
fabian@colossus:~ $
Closed XQuartz.app
fabian@colossus:~ $ defaults write org.x.X11 dpi -int 72
fabian@colossus:~ $ defaults read org.x.X11
{
dpi = 72;
}
fabian@colossus:~ $
Launched XQuartz.app (or else xdpyinfo will do it)
fabian@colossus:~ $ xdpyinfo | grep -i resolution
resolution: 96x96 dots per inch
fabian@colossus:~ $
Did I something wrong, or has something else changed in 10.8
regarding the X11 dpi?
