Hi - I hope this is the right place to ask my question.
I'm accessing Mathematica 7 on a Linux server from my laptop using ssh and X-forwarding. The program mostly works except 3D plots refuse to render. For example, the command
RegionPlot3D[x^2+y^2+z^2, {x,-1,1}, {y,-1,1}, {z,-1,1}]
yields a blank output. By contrast, 2D plots such as Plot[Sin[x], {x,0,2Pi}] render just fine. My laptop is running OS X 10.8 with the latest XQuartz release. I've installed the mathematica fonts and added the font directory to my x font path. When I try the same thing on another machine running ubuntu 12.04, the 3D plots appear as expected. So the issue appears to my untrained eye to lie with XQuartz. Can others reproduce this problem?
Thanks,
Casey
