Jeremy - Sorry I reported this as an XQuartz issue. I thought that was
the case because of when the freezing occurred. Turns out it is because
within my Logitech Control Center XQuartz is a program I've defined to
have special mouse button interactions. So when it switches "profiles" as
I activate Quartz the problem appears. Since this is the only app where
I'm not using the global mouse mappings it threw me off.
Looks like others have had the issue and there are suggestions for
resolving it.

I'd suggest contacting Logitech and ask them what they'd need, or disable the logitech kexts and just using Apple's HID drivers for your mouse.
