Well... I did that, and results were inconclusive. Minimized windows
came back fine (as expected); then, after being minimized and
restored, switching desktops and coming back didn't repeat the
problem...
Then, I deleted all the windows, brought up another set just like them
(I start all those sessions in a shell script anyway so it's easy to
do repeatedly)... switching desktops back and forth didn't repeat the
problem as it had earlier. Deleted them all, then deleted the shell
I'd been doing all this with before, brought it back, tried it all
again... No repeat of the problem.
So, for a bit there I thought I'd found a possible workaround, but no
such luck, at least not yet.
