After much twiddling with settings it looks like the debugger/app is working on stale/corrupt instructions. This seems to occur randomly - curiously, switching build settings doesn't cause a recompile on converted PB projects. I have to manually 'clean all' to get it to recognise the changes.
At one point the for loop test (with one line in the loop body setting a safe area to a value) just fell straight through, not even bothering to execute.


This looks like it is related to the stale data/debugger issue discussed previously.
