Fwiw, you can also get to it by typing ~ as well as / or shift-cmd-G.

Out of curio, I typed in 'file path' in Mac Help (as one of many thousands of users would do) : the help item (ranked fourth, with the higher ranked results out of context IMHO) doesn't mention the '/' shortcut. So, undocumented - the '/' is not present in other help docs as far as I've read - does this mean it will be present in the next versions of Panther?

It appears to work with all File panels. typing a '/' opens the goto panel. I don't think I've seen this documented, but what a great way to implement that functionality.
