Hi all,
I am new to XCode. I usually use JBuilder or Netbeans for Java webapp
programming I do.
You can use those and many other Java IDEs on Mac OS X. Use the one
that has the features you want.
The thing I miss most in XCode is the autocompletion function.
Apple has stated that this is feature that they hope to add soon (they
have the indexing and back-end obviously for this feature given its
existence for Obj-C/Cocoa).
File a enhancement request or email email@hidden if
you want. Emails to this list do not serve as a request, this list is
not an official channel to Apple.
In general it is more important for Apple and a major of Mac OS X
developers to have strong support for Mac OS X development via its core
C based languages since several, far more feature rich, Java IDEs exist
that one can use on Mac OS X already. Basically target the spots that
are the high risk and devoid of a strong solution (CW is good of
course).
