I don't believe I said anything that contradicts the advice given at
WWDC, although I may said it somewhat obtusely. ;-)
The recommendation still stands .... if you want a kext to run on
10.1.5 and later, build on 10.1.5 with 10.1.5 tools. Then test
exhaustively to be sure that it does not fail on later versions. In
most cases, you should have upwards compatibility, but several
developers have said that they found they needed to recompile for each
major OS revision specifically.
