I didn't have any luck finding detailed documentation on this
preference pane and what the "(2)" means. Does this have something to
do with my machines having 2 processors? And that the entry without
the number denotes processor #1 and the entry with the (2) denotes
processor #2?
Yes, the 2 is for the other processor. Nothing to worry about.
