For those with access to the Xcode v1.1 update seed (NDA), I've run
into some serious problems with it on my Dual 1.42 GHz G4, which I
haven't been able to back out of, even after reverting back to the
Xcode v1.0 GM with or without the v1.0.1 update, and strongly
recommend NOT installing v1.1 on any critical production computer, or
using it with anything but a throw-away copy of your project (and
OS!), to test the seed features... which of course is what Apple
suggests anyway. ;-)
This information is of course under NDA and really shouldn't be fired
to a public list (I haven't seen any issues with it myself YMMV.)
Developers if you want a better xCode please give seeds a try! By doing
so you help Apple shake out the bugs and enhance things, assuming you
of course file bugs about what you find (Shaun did ya?).
Of course ALWAYS read the release notes before installing any such seed
and take any actions recommended and possibly make an archive of your
system if you feel it is needed.
