Hi all.
I started using Xcode from the scratch today. My system is a G4 Mac with
MacOS 10.3.1 (Panther). I installed the XCode package 1.0 and updated
via the SoftwareUpdater to 1.0.1.
Then I started Xcode and created a new project:
Cocoa Application, name "Test".
I selected "Build and Run". Everything 's fine so far.
Then I selected "Debug" and ran into an exception:
Exception name: NSInvalidArgumentException, reason:
*** -[PBXGDB_MIController referent]: selector not recognized
The debugger window showed all function icons in its toolbar but only
"Terminate", "Fix", "Restart" and "Pause" were selectable.
I clicked on "Pause" and got the error:
mi_cmd_exec_interrupt: inferior not executing.
Afterwards (I had not set any breakpoints in the Test project) I clicked
on "Terminate" and ran into an Internal Error:
Uncaught Exception:
*** -[NSCFSTring removeViewController:]: selector not recognized
Could anybody tell me please - what went wrong with my installation?
Or is the bug sitting in front of the keyboard? ;-)
Everything seems to work fine now since I re-installed Panther on a new
formatted hard drive and re-installed Xcode 1.0 updating to 1.0.1.
And - it works even faster then before. :-)
