Well, the location of the perl interpreter is one of the things we generate, but making up a ppfilespec worked perfectly. That was what I was really hoping to be able to do, just couldn't find where you all had hidden them with the xcode. Many thanks...

You could also create a .pbfilespec file for these Perl-like files. Look at "/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/DevToolsCore.framework/Resources/ Standard file types.pbfilespec" for what the contents should look like. Your new file would go in "~/Library/Application Support/Apple/Developer Tools/Specifications".
