CVS over SSH works fine for me.
I have SSH keys in my home, and XCode just worked as soon as I created the project with no problem.

Occasionally it seems to be a bit slow to respond, and still have no idea why there isn't a context menu option to commit files when clicking on a file or a group in the project tree (you have to go to the SCM menu, or do it from the new SCM window). Oh, how I wish XCode had a "synchronise" view like Eclipse...

Can anyone out there tell me if Xcode works properly with CVS using public/private key pairs when the pass phrase for the login has been disabled (is null)?

We use a CVS server which allows us to access the repository using public/private key pairs only. Our accounts have their pass phrases purposely disabled for a little extra security. PB was not able to handle this properly without the use of SSHPassKey. Unfortunately, this arrangement also caused the connection to the repository to intermittently and silently die, requiring a quit/restart of PB to get CVS access again. I have no idea if the cause was SSHPassKey or something inside PB itself.

Anyway, this was filed as bug 3244906 on April 30, 2003, if an Apple engineer wants to check. It's still in "Open/Analyze" state.

My main question is, has the CVS support in Xcode been improved over PB? And specifically, the issue with using public/private key pairs with disabled (null) pass phrases.

Thanks,
Rob
