You can produce a light ASP report. Use the Appropriate menu in Apple
System Profiler in Panther.
I had tried that (standard report vs. short report) and when I did a
Get Info on the resultant file, it reported the same size (5.8) MB.
Looks like I need to file another bug against the Finder for caching
the file size!
Thanks though for the confirmation that ASP can indeed generate smaller
files (mine ended up being just 40K).
