Thinking about it, the main problem with Xcode's interface seems to be the classification of project settings as a kind of meta data. (And therefor they get cramped in an inspector panel.)


But project settings in an IDE are NOT meta data. They are actually content - a real part of the 'document'.

So the different settings should probably be presented in a way similar to a normal document (file). That's what Project Builder tried to do. And while I find my way around Xcode quite well, I still consider PB's approach superior.
