I just did an upgrade to Xcode 1.5 which was successful. I then loaded
the 10.3.5 updates. Now my iMac won't boot.

I realize this is the wrong list for this kind of problem but I'm dead
in the water and not sure where to get an answer to such a problem. If
any of the Apple guys out their could tell me of a place to get an
answer for this problem I would really appreciate it.

Here is what's happening and what I've tried in case that helps direct
me to the right place.

Loaded the 10.3.5 updates. During the load it got to the "Optimize"
step and sat there without moving on the bar for approx. 6 hours. I
did a Force Quit on the Upgrade and then properly closed anything else
that was open, which wasn't much since I closed most everything before
the install.

Rebooted the iMac and it gets to the gray screen with the Apple logo
and just sits there.

I booted again and tried the Command Option P R combo and booted
again. Same problem.

I booted from an OS X 10.3 CD and ran repair disk multiple times and
repair permissions multiple times. It said the hard disk was okay.
Tried booting again, still no luck.

I booted from the 10.3 CD again and checked the Startup Disk options.
It sees that there is a 10.3.5 startup and it sees the OS 9.2.2 on the
same disk. I booted from the OS 9.2.2 startup and it came right up.
Tried to boot from 10.3.5 again and it is still dead.

Sorry for the intrusion and appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,
Mike Lazear
