We've gotten this request in the past, but it's something that we haven't been that interested in since it leads down the road to a bunch of "Finder-like" requests that are inappropriate for Xcode (Xcode is not the Finder).

Well. To me Xcode is kind of the Finder for Xcode projects.

Not being able to modify the contents of folder references is both inconvenient and inconsistent (I can add a file to a group but not to a folder reference).

You are right of course - I would expect even more finder like features from Xcode. Like being able to copy or move files from one project to another.

I guess I will have to file feature requests. :)
