Well, what else would you expect a folder reference to do?
Maybe it should read "folder alias"?
That's also a bad choice since "alias" leads one to believe that the
folder referenced could move around and still be found, which isn't the
case (since a path is used to reference the folder) :)
What I am missing is the ability to alter the contents of referenced
folders - adding/removing files that is.
We've gotten this request in the past, but it's something that we
haven't been that interested in since it leads down the road to a bunch
of "Finder-like" requests that are inappropriate for Xcode (Xcode is
not the Finder).
