The other thing I wanted to try since the old Project Builder was to get CVS to use the compression options e.g. cvs -z3. Is there any way of affecting the command line passed to cvs in Xcode? Perhaps some config file that can be edited?

I would expect that adding 'cvs -z3' to your ~/.cvsinit file would do the trick.

Disclaimer: check the docs first for the exact format of the file, I just typed that into Mail...
