This seems like apples and oranges. Unless I'm misreading, the OP was looking for the file history popup menu to have a common set of entries across all editors. (I'd submit this should be per-project with all editors not associated with a project being in one other set.)


Obviously I haven't read your actual radar but your quote from engineering makes it sound like you had asked (or engineering mistakenly thought you'd asked) for the current selection/insertion range and scroll position in all editors editing the same file to track together.

I for one would really loathe that. But my preferences aside, these sound like two very different things.
