"Find in Project" Slow- CVS?

When I perform a "Find in Project" I experience very sluggish behavior when I click on one of the found items. It sometimes takes on the order of a minute of spinning rainbows before the selection appears. This on a dual 2Ghz G5 w/ 8 Gig RAM.

I didn't experience this prior to using CVS. I am a novice XCode & CVS user and suspect I am doing something wrong w/ CVS. CVS is not running on a remote server or anything like that.
