distributed building machines not on subnet

  • Subject: distributed building machines not on subnet

Hello, I am trying to add machines that aren't on my local subnet to the list of distributed machines. Machines show up and work with rendevous (or whatever it's called now) just fine. How would I go about doing this? I tried entering an IP in the "name" field; however, this doesn't seem to do anything. (Details of the machine do not show up)

How come there isn't a better interface to this, or at least some sort of message when things aren't working?

I have a nice gigabit speed network sitting here sometimes with lots of idle macs, and I need to put them to use.

Thank you!
-Jon
