classpath, java doc, and Xcode the right choice?

Hi,

I am using Xcode 1.5 for (pure) Java development. I have stored some
jar files in ~/Library/Extensions/piccolo-1.1/build. How can I include
those and other jar files to the classpath?

Also, how can I include the java doc files stored in
~/Library/Java/Extensions/piccolo-1.1/doc/api/edu/umd/cs/piccolo (and
also others) to the Xcode's class browser?

I'm wondering if Xcode is a good choice if I want to develop pure and
platform independent Java or if I should use Eclipse or NetBeans. Xcode
runs fast and stable, but Eclipse or NetBeans might have better Java
support. Any opinions to that?

Thanks!
Claus
