A more careful search of the archives revealed:

http://lists.apple.com/archives/xcode-users/2004/Sep/msg00178.html

In which Jim Ingham confirms that the feature is on the TODO list. So, I guess I'll write up a bug to help fuel that fire ;)

I generally enjoy working with Xcode's gdb console, but sometimes I have to switch to the command line client just to get the tab-based symbolic completions I'm used to from gdb. Is there anyway I can get this behavior via the Xcode console? Hitting tab from the console inserts a true tab into the text view instead of provoking gdb's completion mechanism.
