You might check and make sure you have write privileges for the files
inside your .xcode "file" (the .xcode file is actually a file package
that contains the real project file and other files that track per-user
settings like the ones you mention.

[demime 0.98b removed an attachment of type application/pkcs7-signature which had a name of smime.p7s]
