I can reproduce this issue with the following Preference settings for
Errors & Warnings Smart Group:
Open during builds is 'On Errors Or Warnings' or 'On Errors'
and
Close after builds is 'On No warnings'
After changing to these settings you might be able to build once but
the second build will hang with your example.
Possible workaround:
The work around for this issue is not to meet the above conditions. For
instance with the above settings if I change Close after builds to
'Never' then my builds complete. (With Open during builds set to 'On
Errors Or Warnings' and Close after builds to 'Never' should be what
some people want, stay open on errors or warnings.)
Perhaps others can verify if this works for them.
Cheers,
Chris

- unsaved files:always save
- concurrent tasks: best for this machine (1)
- build window never/never
- errors & warnings smartgroup: open during=on errors or
warnings/after builds=on no warnings.
