In Xcode, hit command-O or choose File > Open. In the
dialog, navigate to a folder that has lots of items,

be a folder. Select it. After about a second or two
delay, it is mysteriously deselected.
Sorry - forgot to mention, requires that the Open dialog
be in list view. m.
Still cannot reproduce the lose of selection (it may be
specific to a given size of the open dialog?)...
Me thinks that you are expanding the folder when you
select it
No, merely selecting does not expand the folder. And if what you're
saying
were the case, I'd see the same effect on other folders in the dialog,
and I
don't. I'm really seeing the effect I described, and I'm only seeing
it in
Xcode. m.
If you attempt to select a row and hit in the area of the turn down
arrow it will expand. You will not see the other folders hidden as I
described, it has to be at the bottom of the panel.
Anyway I am not able to duplicate what you have been describing in
Xcode or any other application I have tried. Not saying that you are
not seeing what you are seeing... just trying to eliminate
possibilities.
What file system are you targeting in your open dialog? Any haxie
installed on this system? etc.
