xcode and Perforce

Is anyone using the built-in Perforce support in xcode? I have the Perforce Mac client installed and working perfectly, but when I try to configure an xcode project to use Perforce as the SCM, xcode hangs indefinitely with the 'busy' cursor spinning away. I have to forceably quit xcode.
