This is not true. The latest versions of MacCVS Pro create identical
Repository and Root files as the command-line version of CVS, so that you
can use either the command line or MacCVS Pro to manage your local sources.
The primary difference is when you are dealing with Macintosh-specific files
that contain resource forks -- the command-line client will only send the
data fork, while MacCVS Pro can be configured to send the data fork as
either text or binary, or the entire file either MacBinaried or AppleSingled
(preferable, as it maintains *all* of the metainfo about the file).
