Hi, I just had a sudden thought about a crash that I experienced the
other day in XCode. I've been doing searches across all of the files
that we have (around 300 or 400 files), and generating very long lists
of matches for each search (usually around 2000 or hits). As I started
doing the searches, the search display times started to get longer and
longer (from about a second to display after the search bar completed,
to 10-15 seconds), until XCode eventually crashed. Once I restarted,
XCode seemed to be as snappy as it was at the start of the searching
session. I was wondering if others had had the same problem, or if it
was something that was quirky about that particular XCode session.
Not exactly this, although I have experienced a few times where after
awhile it became painfully slow to *type*. To the point where only a
force-quit (leading to a crash) would quit Xcode. I do file searches a
lot, so maybe it is related.
