SGI/Irix purify could do its work on standalone executables, which was really nice when diagnosing some problems in the field. I'd love to have Purify and PureCoverage (A simple statement-level coverage tool that used the same instrumentation technology, but statement-level is fine for my needs) on OS X.

Back at WWDC 2003 there was a vendor that said they had a similar product (one that instrumented object code), but I haven't seen anything from them. Anyone remember who they were and what's up with it?

Cheers,
