HeaderDoc 8 final?

On a lark, I downloaded HeaderDoc 8 again from Apple's Darwin site, and come
to find out it is a version that was released just a couple of weeks ago.
There is no indication that it is beta, and the documents seem to be
complete.
Is this a final release? Is it thought to be good (i.e., no killer bugs)?
How on earth did I miss the announcement? If there was no announcement, why
not?
