shared caches

  • Subject: shared caches

I'm developing a project with XCode and despite the fact that the
project itself is relatively small (about 228 K) there is a huge
directory called "Shared Caches" under the project's build folder. The
"Shared Caches" folder is about 58 MB and growing. What is the purpose
of the cache and why is it allowed to grow so large? Is there a way to
manage the cache besides manually deleting the files?

thanks,
-tom
