Is the regex in Xcode different?

I too have been stumped by the problem that there is no documentation as to which flavor of regexes exactly are used there. :(


As far as my experimentation did go it is some pretty funky expanded shell-glob mixed in with regular expressions.

If you find anything specific it would be great if you could let me know! (I too wan't to build some fancier smart-groups - though it seems xcode just isn't cabable enough for this.)
