I just unpacked my new G5 1.8Ghz dual, loaded the dev tools and
updated Xcode to 1.1 via Software Update, and now I can't build
anything (not even the default "hello world" C++ tool).
The error when compiling with the command 'gcc main.cpp'
ld: can't locate file for -lcrt1.o
Apparently this is a problem, as none of my old projects compile
either. Any ideas? Other than sticking to the powerbook that works.
The file crt1.o should be in /usr/lib; make sure it is. This area
should be searched automatically by the compiler...
Also, it helps to look at the "raw" output of the compiler, which you
can see in the build window's bottom half; you'll be able to see how
the compiler is being invoked and if anything is wrong.
I can tell you that I have a G5, Xcode 1.1 and no problems.
