Romain,

SCM plug-in extensibility is planned for Xcode but is not available in the 1.x version IDE at present. Any plug-in solution currently existing (and there are several) are, with few exceptions, using unsupported mechanisms which are likely to change with future revisions.

It would be more useful at present to know what kinds of things the plug-in extensibility you are looking for would be designed to support. Please file a feature enhancement request using the information at <http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter/> (yes, feature enhancements use the bug report mechanism, just set the popup appropriately) and articulate to Apple what your needs are. That will help us define what features will roll in with future releases.

best,
Godfrey

Hello xcode users,

My question is very simple:
Is it possible to create an xcode plugin written in Cocoa ?. I tried to call cocoa methods included in the plugin with the applescript command "call method" with no success. Is there a limitation due to the plugin architecture and how can I achieve this ?

Thank you. I rely on this to add SCM features to xcode.

Romain.
