Not that I would ever try to dissuade you from using BBEdit (especially with Rich listening in ;-), but what are you missing with the printing support in Xcode?

Not speaking for anyone else, but since you're asking, I do all my printing with BBEdit rather than ProjectBuilder / Xcode because it looks better and I find it more readable. PB uses a large font (I suppose someone might now tell me I could adjust this, but I haven't seen such an option) so I don't get enough on a page.

I arrived at this preference in PB days so maybe I should try again with Xcode.

Test. I've just done a print preview of the same code file with BBEdit and Xcode to compare. With default settings the BBEdit version took 2 pages (about 1 2/3 full). Xcode wants three pages (2 1/2). There you have it. 50% saving on paper costs with BBEdit!

The Xcode page uses a nice, large, clear, sans, proportional font, but this is source code. Monaco 9 is good enough. Spreading it over more pages not only wastes paper, it actually makes it harder for me to follow my code structure.

We use the same font and size that's used for editing. With today's more than 72dpi screens that makes printouts look pretty big. You can of course scale the print job to something smaller (I use 70%) in the page setup dialog. We remember the printer settings between runs so you only have to set it once.
