Xcode feature request

  • Subject: Xcode feature request

Today I learned the hard way how easy it is to delete source files that are shared between multiple projects. I went to delete some files from a project that didn't need them and accidently hit the "Delete references & Files" button instead of the "Delete References" button and it was bye bye files.

I think Xcode should be a little more forgiving when deleting files, maybe move them to the trash rather than actually killing them. Barring that, another possibility would be to word the "Delete references & Files" button a little more ominously, like "Erase files from HD" accompanied by a warning dialog that there's no turning back.
