In the Xcode Preferences you can go to Key Bindings --> Text Key
Bindings --> Cursor Movement and define key combos for a whole slew of
items, including "Move to Beginning of Line".
I thought that, by default, cmd-Left Arrow moved to the beginning of
the line and cmd-Right Arrow moved to the end. In any event, I have
those defined as well as just "Home" and "End" defined to go to the
beginning/end of the line. Whether or not there are tabs or spaces
makes no difference, at least not for me. If it does for you, maybe
it's because of Syntax Aware Indenting or some other setting.

I have been working with Xcode for a few of months now, trying to get
used to the environment. One thing that has bugged me for some time
though is the lack of a "smart home" option. Project guidelines (and
personal preferences) require me to use copious indentation, with no
tabs. In every other IDE I use there is an option to go to the
beginning of the text on the line, skipping all the spaces. I can not
find this option in Xcode, only the keyboard shortcuts for going to
the absolute beginning of the line or paragraph.
I have searched through the mailing list archives the best I can, but
I can not find anything on the subject. Does this option exist, and if
so how do I enable it?
