G'day Matt,

In Xcode if I choose Help > Xcode Help, the Xcode documentation window
opens. This is very inconvenient for reading the Xcode help, because only a
fraction of the window actually displays the help, which is itself divided
into frames. My question is: From within Xcode, how can I open this document
(*both* frames) in its own window?

The document appears to be a plain HTML document, and I can't see a clean way of viewing/navigating HTML in Xcode. Safari then, might be the better way to expore this document.

Or even better, with Safari?

A control click and "Copy link to clipboard" on one of the links on that page gave me a hint as to where the documents live. I think you might have figured that out though - they are in Xcode's app bundle. The actual page, with the two frames, is here:

file:///Developer/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Resources/ English.lproj/Xcode_Help/index.html

HTH (it would be nice to finally offer something back to you, Matt!),
Heath
