missing crt1.o problem solved

This was sent to me and I'm forwarding it to the list

Hi Craig and Jay,

I had exactly the same problem that you did with the missing file /usr/lib/crt1.o, except on a new 17 inch G4.
After wasting all morning on it, I found that the following one-liner worked for me:


sudo /bin/cp /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.2.7.sdk/usr/lib/crt1.o /usr/lib/crt1.o

Hopefully, Apple will put back this missing file in their next XCode upgrade.
You may want to post this to email@hidden, since I don't think I have permission
to post there.


Thanks for making me realize it wasn't just my own fault!
