Xcode: product type and building?

  • Subject: Xcode: product type and building?

I have a project that has been distributed to several other people on the net. Using Xcode 1.1 (builds 300.0) which I believe is the latest update prior to 1.2 (which has been an absolute pain to download, and I'm still working on it), my project builds fine for me. The project was upgraded from ProjectBuilder (which was not without pain either).

However, the others I have distributed this project to are having problems building it and as soon as they click on the build button, get the message in the build pane:

"Dependency analysis: 'XXX' has no product type, can't build it".

The lower part of the build window shows: "Native build of target XXX Nothing done, since there were dependency setup errors."

Why is this project losing the product type and where is it set, because I can't find it. I have tried removing 'APPL' from the properties tab, but that does not bring on the problem in my copy of the project.

Any ideas?

Ian
