[OFF?] libtoolize?

  • Subject: [OFF?] libtoolize?

I am beginning a conversion of a Linux library to Mac OS X. The
library's current build system is not great; much of it is not
cross-platform at all, and it depends on something called libtoolize
(seemingly part of libtool) which is yet another pre-stage before you
can get to compiling the code.

The info docs on libtoolize are sparse, and as libtoolize is not found
on my system, I wondered if anyone here knew its nature and would share
some wisdom with me. If I have to do its job manually, will reading the
libtool docs be enough to tell me how to do it?

Thanks in advance,
