You need to install gnu libtool. OS X also includes a tool called
libtool which is entirely unrelated, just to confuse issues. GNU
libtool is available via Fink and DarwinPorts and suchlike, but the
actual command installed may be called glibtool(ize) to avoid (!)
confusion.
