A group that's *.cpp?

  • Subject: A group that's *.cpp?

I've been trying to figure out a way to use a pattern to include files
in a project, but I can't see how to do it. All I want is a group that's set to
a specific folder and includes all source files for that folder.

The docs (and experimentation) say that that a folder reference won't
work. Then I tried a smart group, which allows patterns, but it seems to
only filter on files already included in a project. The thing that's been
really getting to me is that when you select a normal group and choose
Get Info on it, it brings up a window that lets you, amongst other things,
select a folder and specify a pattern. However, no matter what I do,
any pattern I set has been cleared out the next time I choose Get Info
on the group. This doesn't appear to be some sort of invalid holdover
from another type of group -- all the groups have slightly different Get
Info windows. I can't find anything in the manual on this. What's the
deal? How is this used?

thanks for any info,
eric hackborn
